LIFESTYLE
Reading a book is almost always pleasurable, but reading a great book that also accomplishes a specific goal is even more satisfying. This was also the idea behind a post I wrote not long ago about books that are enjoyable to read while travelling. If you can make a book fit in with a specific activity, destination, or – as we’ll discuss later – time of year, the book’s impact will be amplified to an even greater degree. And, if you’re looking for something to read this autumn, what better option could there be than something creepy?
Despite appearances to the contrary, Halloween and the season of changing tree leaves are also associated with the appearance of black cats and pumpkins carved in the shape of jack-o’-lanterns. It is the best time of year to read stories that are at least a little bit terrifying because it is not only the best time of year to make yourself comfortable and speed through a few good stories, but it is also the best time to read scary stories. Of course, you don’t have to immerse yourself in complete terror (though some books will undoubtedly do so!). However, here are some stories that you should remember for the upcoming season.
Written by Ray Bradbury, “The Halloween Tree”
In spite of the fact that Fahrenheit 451 is unquestionably Ray Bradbury’s most well-known work, it is still somewhat surprising how little attention is paid to this particular novel. It’s a fantastically imaginative journey that’s perfect for this time of year. Indeed, Goodreads named it the best Halloween book of all time, and it was the first book on their list! This book is essentially a trip through time that takes readers to some of the most terrifying moments and places in human history. After losing track of their friend Pipkin, a group of friends teams up with a mysterious figure known as Mr. Moundshroud and embarks on a mission to find and rescue him. They encounter the gargoyles of Notre Dame Cathedral and participate in a variety of other exciting adventures until their mission is completed. It’s a bizarre, entertaining read that’s scarier in concept than execution.
Slade House was written by David Mitchell
David Mitchell is well-known for his broad ideas that span human history and delve deep into various philosophical concepts. However, Slade House, his most recent story, is more straightforward than his usual style and may be more appealing to a wider audience. You don’t have to worry because Mitchell’s signature sounds are still present. The novel takes place over roughly half a century and includes multiple points of view throughout. But, at its core, this is a story about a haunted house in London where a random visitor disappears for nine years on the tenth anniversary of their disappearance. In many ways, it’s the perfect book to read at this time of year; however, if you haven’t read The Bone Clocks yet, I strongly advise you to do so. That Mitchell is much larger and more complicated than the Slade House one, but it came before the Slade House one and served as a foundation for the later one in some ways. Slade House, while not strictly a sequel, is the next logical step in the series.
“The Invisible Man” was written by H.G. Wells.
Similar to The Halloween Tree, it appears that this story is not receiving the attention it deserves; however, this may be about to change. Universal will produce a film adaptation of the book starring Johnny Depp in the not-too-distant future. Furthermore, NetEnt has already created a web-based video game based on the first story. The game is said to give players a genuine sense of dread while they play it, which is indicative of the overall creepiness of the story. The game’s description can be found on SlotSource. The plot revolves around a crazed scientist who becomes invisible due to a series of unfortunate events. Then, similar to other literary monsters, he gradually becomes more reclusive and malevolent as he realises and takes advantage of some of the benefits of being invisible. It’s an engrossing read that might be especially enjoyable in preparation for the upcoming film adaptation.
“A Darker Shade of Magic,” written by V.E. Schwab, is a fantasy novel.
There will be no shortage of suggestions for fall reading that include works of fantasy and magic. Even the somewhat satirical series The Magicians is ideal for reading at this time of year. Harry Potter is always a popular choice, and The Night Circus is an excellent fall read. But today I’m going to talk about a book that you may not have heard much about before: V.E. Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic. In this imaginative and offbeat story, Kell, the protagonist, is one of the few people who can travel between the various versions of London. Kell is also among the last to be able to do so. He does this by interacting with various regimes in both magical and real London, and as a result of his actions, he finds himself embroiled in an adventure. However, it is the world that ultimately brings you here (or worlds). It’s a vividly imagined mix of settings that makes a fairly standard fantasy plot more compelling than it would be otherwise. According to the NPR review, it is “rich in depth and colour.”
It’s finally fall, which means the leaves are changing colours and falling to the ground, pumpkin spice lattes, and Halloween. It’s also time to incorporate darker hues into your fall wardrobe. This autumn, the secret to nailing the perfect outfit styling is all in the choices you make, and literally anything can give you the perfect autumn combo because. The term “FASHION”
People have the misconception that blogging is simply taking pictures and sitting down to write some meaningless post that anyone, even a five-year-old, can write. This, however, is not the case. Wrong!! As bloggers, we are well aware that there is much more to it, as we are required to take photographs that are…
“ADVICE” is a book.
Even though there are only a few days left in 2017, it is difficult for me to believe that 2017 is coming to an end. This, however, suggests that we should try new things, one of which is to read new best novels in 2018, as it is obvious that we cannot continue to read the same books over and over (actually, we do…

I appreciated how detailed this description is. It was a pleasure to read. That is a very well-polished package.
Thank you very much!!!
